Release FLOWSTER Studio 4.1

Potsdam, September 18, 2015 – FLOWSTER Studio 4.1 is now available. With this release, software manufacturer FLOWSTER Solutions publishes a revised version of its IT automation platform. The enhancement of the flexible software offers, in addition to significant speed and performance improvements and new activities, also improvements to the Designer and Administrator modules.
New Features and Enhancements
With the new version FLOWSTER Studio 4.1, the Potsdam-based company presents a comprehensive and free software update in which existing application options have been optimized and numerous new functions have been integrated – including for Linux and VMware.
Linux Support
FLOWSTER Studio version 4.1 delivers an even broader range of deployment options. The already extensive activities for Windows systems have been expanded with specific actions for Linux servers. This makes creating Linux workflows considerably more convenient.
VMware Enhancements
Furthermore, new cluster and network activities are now available for VMware. The innovations also include additional activities for:
- DB2
- JIRA
- VEEAM Backup
- Novell eDirectory
- Telnet
- JSON
In addition, existing activities have been updated and supplemented with additional functions – such as for Powershell, string operations, SNMP and SSH.
Improved Designer
The FLOWSTER Designer has also been revised with version 4.1. The most important innovation is the ability to automatically generate required variables with the corresponding data type for activities. With the new feature, workflows can be designed and tested even faster and easier. In addition, the memory management of the Designer has been improved. It also now offers more performance when directly executing workflows within the Designer module.
Optimized Administrator
The FLOWSTER Administrator has also been optimized in FLOWSTER Studio 4.1. Through the use of global variables, the software is now even more convenient to use. Variables can be used across workflows and managed centrally – for example, the credentials for a vCenter connection. If the login information changes, it is possible to simply update it centrally.
"With FLOWSTER Studio 4.1, our customers receive even more powerful software that delivers high added value, especially in enterprise environments. With the new release, we have once again significantly expanded the deployment options. Now Linux administrators can also conveniently model workflows with activities and map processes faster. Through improved usability, our software becomes even easier and faster to use. In combination with our growing number of activities, we respond to customer requirements and enable them to save time and costs, thus increasing the efficiency of their company."
